Play Blues Brothers Jukebox Online

Race through pixelated chaos as Jake or Elwood—dodging cops, smashing roadblocks, and occasionally wailing on a harmonica between car wrecks. The chiptune "Soul Man" somehow makes this janky mess feel like the movies.

Game Overview

Blues Brothers Jukebox came out for the Game Boy in 1991, developed by Titus. It was part of that wave of licensed games that tried to capture a movie's energy on the small screen, often with mixed results.

You control either Jake or Elwood Blues, driving their iconic police car through side scrolling levels. Your main goal is to reach the end of each stage while avoiding obstacles and outrunning the cops. You smash through roadblocks, dodge oncoming traffic, and occasionally stop to play a quick harmonica mini game to refill your health. The pacing is frantic, and the controls can feel a bit slippery, making some sections more difficult than they need to be. It feels like a chaotic, slightly unhinged tribute to the films.
