Game Overview

Bop'N Wrestle came out in 1986 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a release by developer Doug Smith. It was a simple, straightforward wrestling game for its time, fitting right in with the kind of uncomplicated action titles that populated shareware catalogs and early PC gaming. You didn't need a powerful machine to run it, just a keyboard and a willingness to embrace some rough edges.

You control a single wrestler, moving left and right across a single screen to confront your opponent. The main objective is to reduce the other wrestler's health bar to zero by landing punches, kicks, and grapples. Two signature mechanics define the chaos: a clunky grappling system where you lock up with your opponent to attempt throws or slams, and the constant risk of getting tossed out of the ring, which forces a clumsy climb back over the ropes. The pacing is frantic and the controls are unforgiving, often resulting in your character spinning in place or phasing through the turnbuckle. It feels like trying to direct a drunk brawl, where every victory is as much luck as it is skill.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
