Boppin came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Apogee Software. It was one of those early puzzle games that felt right at home on a PC, back when shareware disks were common and games didn't need much more than a good idea to stand out.
You control a small cursor that drops colored blocks into a grid, aiming to match three or more of the same color to clear them. The main objective is to keep the board from filling up, which requires careful planning to set up chain reactions and larger combos. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
