Game Overview

Ah, Boulderland—one of those MS-DOS games that somehow slipped past most people but absolutely deserves a second look. You start off in this little cave, just you and a grid of dirt blocks, and suddenly boulders are tumbling everywhere. The first time I played, I dug straight up like an idiot and got instantly flattened. Lesson learned: think before you shovel.

It’s got that Boulder Dash vibe, but with its own weird personality. Some levels feel like puzzles—do you go for the gems first or clear a safe path? Others are pure chaos, with enemies scuttling around like they’ve got a personal grudge against you. The pixel art’s simple but full of charm, especially when you trigger a chain reaction of falling rocks and barely dive out of the way in time.

Honestly, it’s the kind of game where you’ll fail a level three times, swear you’re done, then immediately restart because this time you’ll get it right. If you’ve got a soft spot for retro games that don’t hold your hand, give it a shot.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
