Brainies, The came out for the Super Nintendo in 1991, published by Titus Interactive. It was one of those early puzzle platformers that felt a bit different from the usual action fare, focusing more on careful planning than quick reflexes. You control a wizard who must guide a group of small, imp-like creatures called Brainies through a series of single-screen puzzle rooms. Your main goal is to get a certain number of them safely to the exit in each stage. The Brainies have different abilities; some can climb walls, others teleport short distances, and they all wander around with a kind of stubborn unpredictability. You don't directly control them. Instead, you use your magic wand to create blocks, erase obstacles, or stun them briefly to herd them in the right direction. The puzzles start off manageable but quickly demand precise timing and clever use of the environment. It feels like managing a classroom of hyperactive toddlers who all have their own ideas about where to go.
