Game Overview

Bram Stoker's Dracula on the Sega Genesis is one of those weird licensed movie games that somehow works. You play as Jonathan Harker, slashing your way through bats, wolves, and creepy villagers with a whip—feels a bit like a Castlevania knockoff at first, but the atmosphere nails the gothic horror vibe. The levels are dark, the music’s all dramatic strings, and Dracula’s castle actually looks like something out of the movie.

It’s not perfect—some of the platforming is janky, and the hit detection can be frustrating—but there’s something oddly satisfying about staking vampires with a wooden spike. If you’re into ‘90s action-platformers with a horror twist, this one’s worth a look. Just don’t expect it to be as polished as the big-name Genesis titles.
