Game Overview
Brutal: Paws of Fury is one of those weird, charming Amiga fighters where the Dalai Llama (yes, really) hosts a martial arts tournament for animals. You pick your furry fighter—everything from a boxing kangaroo to a kung-fu panda—and brawl your way across his island. The stages are all outdoors, which means you’re kicking butt in bamboo forests or on rocky cliffs instead of some dark arena.
Fights play out in rounds, and you’ve got basic punches, kicks, and a cheeky "taunt" move that actually heals you a little. Special moves are there too, though the console versions make you earn them fight by fight—Amiga players get them right away. The art style is way more cartoonish than Mortal Kombat, but the hits still feel satisfying. Lose, and it’s game over unless you burn a continue. Win, and you get a short ending scene tailored to your character (the kangaroo’s is weirdly existential).
Best part? You can jump straight into a single match against a friend or the CPU if you don’t feel like grinding through the tournament. Just pick your fighter, pick a stage, and let the absurd animal violence begin.
