Game Overview

BS Wario no Mori Futatabi is one of those weird little SNES games that makes you wonder how it even got made—in the best way possible. It’s a Japan-only Satellaview sequel to Wario no Mori, and it’s basically Wario at his most chaotic: shoving enemies into traps, scrambling for coins, and laughing like a maniac the whole time.

The levels are short but brutal, full of sneaky puzzles where you’ll either outsmart the stage or faceplant into a spike pit. The 16-bit art is chunky and loud, just like Wario himself, and the whole thing has this frantic energy where you’re constantly weighing risk versus reward. Do you go for that pile of gold, or is it definitely a trap? (Spoiler: It’s usually a trap.)

It never left Japan, which is a shame—this is peak ’90s Wario, all greed and nonsense. If you’ve ever wanted a Mario Bros.-style game where the hero is the worst guy in the room, this is your jam.
