Bubble Bobble: Old and New came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, published by Taito. It was a solid little puzzle platformer during a time when the GBA was full of arcade revivals and portable remakes. The game didn't try to reinvent anything; it just offered a faithful, portable version of a classic formula.

You control one of two bubble-blowing dinosaurs, Bub or Bob, through a series of single-screen rooms. Your main goal is to trap every enemy on the screen inside bubbles, then pop them to clear the stage and move forward. The core mechanics involve blowing bubbles to capture foes, bouncing on those bubbles to reach higher platforms, and collecting power-ups that change your bubble properties or give you special attacks. The pacing is quick, with levels that demand both speed and strategy, especially in later stages where enemy patterns get more aggressive. It feels light and cheerful, but staying alive requires constant movement and smart bubble placement.
