Game Overview

Bushido: Way of the Warrior is one of those MS-DOS games that sticks with you—mostly because it keeps kicking your butt until you learn its rhythm. You play as this lone samurai cutting through waves of enemies, and at first, you’ll probably die a lot. The combat’s got this weirdly satisfying weight to it—when you land a clean slash or pull off a last-second parry, it feels like you’ve actually outsmarted the game.

The pixel art’s moody as hell, all dusky villages and blood-red sunsets, and the soundtrack nails that feudal Japan vibe. It’s not just mindless slashing either—you’ve gotta time your moves or you’ll get wrecked by some spear-wielding goon in two hits. I remember getting stuck on this one boss near a burning temple for like an hour before I figured out his pattern.

If you’re into tough-but-fair retro action (or just love samurai stuff), Bushido’s a brutal little time capsule worth dusting off. Just don’t throw your keyboard when the ninja archers show up.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
