Play Bust-a-Move DS Online
Flick bubbles with the stylus as Bub or Bob—it’s way more satisfying than buttons when you nail those tricky shots. The levels start easy, then suddenly you’re sweating as the ceiling creeps closer.

Bust-a-Move DS came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed and published by Taito. It was one of those early puzzle games that felt perfectly suited to the handheld, especially with the touch screen. The DS was still pretty new then, and this was a solid, straightforward port that made good use of the hardware without trying to be flashy.
You control Bub or Bob, the little dragons from Bubble Bobble, and your goal is to clear the screen of colored bubbles by shooting new ones to form groups of three or more. The main mechanic is aiming and firing bubbles using the stylus on the touch screen; it feels precise and responsive, much better than using a d-pad. You work through levels one by one, with the challenge increasing as the ceiling gradually lowers, adding pressure. The pacing is quick but thoughtful, and later stages require careful planning to avoid getting trapped. It's a game that feels both relaxing and tense, depending on how close those bubbles get to the bottom.
