Play Capitalism Online
Start with a pile of cash and watch it vanish as you juggle supply chains, undercut rivals, and pray your factories don’t bankrupt you—this is ‘90s spreadsheet hell at its most addictive.

Capitalism came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Enlight Software. It was a time when business sims were finding their footing on PC, and this one stood out for its depth and unforgiving take on market economics. You don't get flashy graphics or hand-holding; it's all menus, numbers, and the constant threat of going broke.
You control a budding entrepreneur, starting with limited capital, and your goal is to dominate multiple industries by outmaneuvering AI competitors. Key mechanics include setting up manufacturing supply chains, adjusting retail prices to undercut rivals, and acquiring smaller companies to expand your empire. The pacing is slow and deliberate, demanding careful planning; one wrong investment can spiral into failure. Playing it feels like conducting a high-stakes orchestra where every section might suddenly go out of tune.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
