Play Carmageddon Online
Tiny top-down mayhem—swerve through crowds, smash rival cars, and stretch every second before the clock hits zero. Surprisingly fun for a Game Boy wreckfest.

Carmageddon on the Game Boy Color came out in 2000, developed by Torus Games. It was one of those late-era GBC titles that tried to squeeze a bit more out of the hardware, bringing the chaotic driving action of the original PC game to a handheld. It didn't have the visual punch of its bigger siblings, but it was a solid attempt to capture that destructive spirit on a small screen.
You control a car in an isometric view, driving through urban and industrial environments. The main goal is to complete laps or take out all the pedestrian targets before time runs out. Key mechanics include plowing through crowds for time bonuses, wrecking opponent vehicles to eliminate them, and using power-ups like nitro boosts or repair kits. The game moves quickly, and the controls take some getting used to, but once you find a rhythm, it's satisfying to cause so much havoc in such a compact package. It feels like controlled chaos in your hands.
