Game Overview
Carriers at War is one of those MS-DOS games that makes you feel like you're actually in charge—and that's both amazing and terrifying. You start off staring at a map of the Pacific, trying to figure out where to send your carriers before the enemy spots them first. One wrong move and suddenly your fighters are out of range, or worse, you’re staring at a torpedo wake heading straight for your destroyers.
What I love is how it forces you to think like a real admiral. You’re not just clicking buttons—you’re juggling fuel, wind direction, and whether to risk sending bombers without proper escort. The first time I lost an entire squadron because I got cocky? Yeah, that stung. But it also made me obsessed with getting it right next time.
If you’re into historical war games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a beast. Just don’t blame me when you lose track of time plotting the perfect ambush at 2 AM.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
