So you're basically a medieval ruler trying to out-build your rivals, but it's way more involved than just stacking stones. First thing you notice? Everyone wants something from you—the Church gets fussy if you don't donate enough, nobles whine about their privileges, and peasants revolt if taxes are too high. Meanwhile, you're constantly juggling gold for construction, soldiers for defense, and workers to actually get anything built.
The castles themselves look great (for an Amiga game), with little details like flags waving and workers hauling materials. I kept overspending on fancy towers early on before realizing I needed way more basic housing and farms to keep things running. And that military balance? One game I got too comfortable, then bam—some rival lord rolled up with catapults and wrecked half my walls.
It's one of those games where you lose track of time because every decision spirals into three more problems to solve.
