Game Overview

CD-Man Version 2.0 came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Creative Dimensions. It was one of those early PC titles that felt right at home on a beige box monitor, with its simple but colorful EGA graphics and straightforward, maze-based action. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it offered a solid, familiar experience for players who grew up with arcade classics and wanted something similar on their home computer.

You control a small character who navigates through a series of single-screen mazes, collecting dots while avoiding enemies. The main goal is to clear each stage by eating all the pellets; occasionally, power-ups appear that let you temporarily chase and eliminate the pursuing foes. Movement is grid-based and controlled with the keyboard, which gives the action a deliberate, almost tactical feel. The difficulty ramps up steadily as enemy behavior becomes more aggressive in later levels. It feels satisfying to outmaneuver your pursuers and turn the tables when you grab a power-up.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
