Play Chavez Online
Dodge and weave through Spanish menus to throw haymakers as Julio César Chávez—those crunchy punches feel like you're really working the body.

Chavez came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993 from American Softworks. It was one of those straightforward sports games that showed up in the middle of the console's life, focusing on boxing without a lot of extra frills. It didn't have the flash of some other titles from that year, but it had a specific appeal if you were into the sport itself.
You control Julio César Chávez, moving him around the ring to land punches and avoid getting hit. The main goal is to win matches, either by knockout or decision, working your way up through different opponents. Signature mechanics include timing your jabs and hooks, blocking incoming attacks, and managing your stamina between rounds. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty can spike against later fighters who are much more aggressive. It feels like a focused, no-nonsense simulation of boxing from that era.
