Game Overview
Classic Bubble Bobble on Game Boy Color is basically the same charming arcade game you remember, just solo this time—no two-player mode here. You play as the green dino (Bub, I think?) trying to cure your sick blue buddy by clearing rooms full of baddies. The trick is trapping enemies in bubbles, then popping them to turn them into fruit for extra points.
It’s simple at first—just hop around blowing bubbles—but the later levels get sneaky with enemies that dodge or rush you. I always forget some fruit gives you temporary invincibility, which is a lifesaver when things get chaotic. The music’s still that same weirdly catchy loop, too.
If you’ve played the original, it’s pure nostalgia; if not, it’s a solid little arcade-style time-waster with just enough challenge to keep you tapping away.
