Play Clock Tower (Japan) Online
You're Jennifer, sneaking through a mansion where every creaking floorboard could mean the scissors guy's coming—no weapons, just desperate hiding spots and that awful music cue when he spots you. The SNES pixels somehow make it even more unsettling.

Clock Tower came out on the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Human Entertainment. It was a late release for the SNES, a time when many developers were pushing the hardware in new directions, and this game stood out for its focus on pure survival horror rather than action or fantasy.
You control Jennifer, a young woman exploring a mansion while being stalked by a scissor-wielding enemy. The main goal is to solve puzzles and find a way to escape, all while avoiding the killer. Movement is screen by screen; you point and click to move Jennifer between pre-rendered backgrounds. There is no combat; instead, you hide under beds or in cabinets, and you must manage a panic meter that rises when you're chased or cornered. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with tension that spikes suddenly whenever the enemy appears. It feels vulnerable and intensely stressful, like you're always one wrong move from a gruesome end.
