I picked up Club Penguin: Herbert's Revenge for the Nintendo DS back in 2010, a time when licensed games based on online worlds were everywhere. Disney Interactive Studios put this one out, and it was a solid little adventure that felt right at home on the handheld. It wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel, just offering a portable slice of that Club Penguin charm.

You play as your own penguin agent, tasked with stopping the villainous Herbert P. Bear from unleashing his latest scheme. The gameplay is a mix of stealth and light puzzle solving; you sneak past Klutzy the crab guards by timing your movements and use gadgets like a grappling hook to access new areas. The levels are broken into distinct screens you explore methodically, and you'll often find yourself decoding simple ciphers or collecting items to progress. The pacing is generally relaxed, though some of Herbert's snowball attacks can get a bit frantic. It feels like you're the star of a short, interactive episode from the show.
