Game Overview

Corncob Deluxe came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Michael Schwartz. It was a product of its time, a straightforward arcade-style game that didn't try to be more than it was, fitting right in with the shareware scene of the early 90s. You'd load it up after school, the hum of the computer a familiar backdrop to another session of simple, frantic fun.

You control a sentient, glowing corncob navigating a series of tight, maze-like tunnels. Your goal is to collect every pickup on the screen while avoiding a growing swarm of pixelated enemies that chase you relentlessly. The core mechanics involve screen-by-screen progression; clearing one area opens the path to the next. The pacing is unforgiving, as your speed increases with each item collected, turning careful navigation into a desperate scramble. It feels like a race against your own reflexes, a pure test of focus and twitchy control.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
