Courage! came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by the Bundesministerium für Unterricht und Kultur. It was a time when many European educational titles tried to blend learning with adventure, and this one stood out for its unusual setting and tone.

You control a young character navigating a brightly colored but oppressive city, interacting with NPCs to gather information and items. Your main goal is to subtly spread messages of resistance while avoiding surveillance. Key mechanics include dialogue choices that affect how others perceive you, inventory-based puzzles where you trade or use objects like forbidden books or smuggled goods, and avoiding patrols that can end your progress. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
