Game Overview
Crash: Mind Over Mutant on DS is a side-scrolling platformer where Crash has to save Wumpa Island from—you guessed it—Dr. Cortex’s latest nonsense. This time, he’s brainwashing everyone with these weird helmets, including Coco and Crunch, so it’s up to Crash to jump, spin, and punch his way through mutants and minions.
The coolest part? When you beat certain mutants, you can hijack their abilities—some smash through walls, others float over gaps. The controls are simple, but timing your jumps still feels satisfying, especially when you’re bouncing off enemies’ heads. There’s also a minigame mode and mutant fights if you want a break from the story.
Just a heads-up: the DS version is totally different from the console ones—way more old-school platforming, way less 3D exploration. If you miss the classic Crash vibe, this one’s a solid pick.
