Konami released Crime Fighters in 1989 as a four player arcade beat 'em up, a time when cabinets like this were the center of any arcade. It fit right in with other side scrolling brawlers of the era, offering a straightforward, cooperative experience for anyone with a pocket full of quarters.
You control one of four police officers, each with a slightly different look, and your job is to clear the city of a gang called the Skull Cross. You move from left to right, punching and kicking your way through waves of enemies. A signature move lets you grab two thugs and smash their heads together, which is incredibly useful in a crowd. The game is known for its high difficulty; enemies swarm you constantly and health pickups are rare. It feels like a relentless, quarter munching brawl from start to finish.
