Cu-On-Pa SFC is one of those SNES puzzle games that looks simple at first—just roll a cube around to match colors—but gets sneakily tricky. You start with a basic grid, and your cube has different colors on each side. The goal? Roll it so the top face matches the square you're on, turning them all the right color before moving on. Sounds easy, but then the layouts get mean, and suddenly you're second-guessing every move.
It's actually a Super Famicom version of the PC game Endorfun, but stripped of its trippy '90s aesthetic for something cleaner. The big additions here are an Easy Mode (only three colors instead of six—thank god) and Puzzle Mode, where you get a pre-set board and limited moves to solve it. Some of those later puzzles feel downright cruel, in a good way.
If you like methodical, "one-more-try" puzzle games, this one’s got that weirdly satisfying SNES charm.
