Game Overview

D/Generation came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Robert Cook. It was a time when isometric perspectives were gaining traction, and this game used that view to drop you into a sleek, sterile, and deeply unsettling corporate biotech facility. You weren't a soldier or a hero; you were just a courier, and the building had other plans.

You control this delivery person, and your main goal is simply to escape the quarantined complex alive. The gameplay is methodical, screen by screen, focusing on puzzle solving and avoiding threats rather than direct combat. You push crates to block security lasers, use a limited jetpack to cross gaps, and collect keycards to access new wings, all while dodging patrolling mutants and toxic slime. The pacing is tense and deliberate, with a difficulty that demands careful observation and timing. It feels like being trapped in a meticulously designed, hostile machine where every correct move is a small victory.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
