Game Overview

Daleks is a 1992 MS-DOS game, a digital adaptation of the classic Doctor Who enemy. It was developed by John S. Daleske and published by Superior Software. The game fits right into the era of simple, grid based strategy titles that relied on quick thinking rather than complex graphics.

You control the Doctor, moving him one square at a time across a single screen filled with Daleks. Your goal is to survive by eliminating all the Daleks on each level, either by shooting them with your sonic screwdriver or by tricking them into colliding with each other. The game uses turn based movement; every time you move, all the Daleks on screen advance one square toward your position. The pacing is tense and deliberate, with mistakes quickly leading to being surrounded. It feels like a deadly game of chess where every move counts.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
