Game Overview

Dark Century throws you into a squad of these slick, futuristic tanks—think hover-meets-heavy-metal—and pits you against another team in fast, chaotic battles. The controls feel surprisingly nimble for tanks; you can whip around corners or fire in any direction without stopping, which makes the fights way more intense than I expected.

The 3D graphics were seriously impressive for an Amiga game in 1990. Everything’s polygonal and jagged in that charming early-90s way, but you can actually tell what’s happening even when the screen fills up with explosions. Yeah, the story’s basically just "blow up the other guys," but after a few matches, you’ll be too busy dodging missiles to care.

It’s one of those games where "just one more round" turns into an hour without noticing.
