Play Dark Half Online
One playthrough, you're rallying villagers against evil—the next, you're the demon king torching those same towns. Flip between god and devil, tossing magic while your followers scramble around like confused chess pieces.

Dark Half on SNES is one of those weird, ambitious RPGs that tried something different—and honestly, it mostly works. You alternate between playing as Roda, the fallen hero-god, and Rukyu, the demon lord who basically is Satan. One chapter you’re trudging through towns gathering allies as Roda, the next you’re burning them down as Rukyu. It’s jarring in a cool way.
The isometric view makes battles feel like a weird hybrid of strategy and classic turn-based fights—you move your party on a grid, flinging spells from scrolls (if you’re Roda) or draining Soul Power (if you’re Rukyu). Magic is everything here, so don’t expect sword-swinging heroes. Just two overpowered dudes hurling cosmic energy at each other while their followers awkwardly shuffle around the battlefield.
It’s clunky in that very ‘90s RPG way, but the dual-narrative gimmick still feels fresh. You’ll probably hate Rukyu’s chapters at first… until you realize how fun it is to be the bad guy for once.
