Game Overview
Dead or Alive - Paradise is basically a tropical vacation simulator with the DOA cast—volleyball, mini-games, and a whole lot of awkward gift-giving. You pick one of the girls (Ayane, Hitomi, etc.) and spend two weeks on Zack Island doing... well, not much, but in a weirdly relaxing way.
Most of your time goes into 2v2 beach volleyball matches, but here’s the catch: your partner’s performance depends on how well you butter them up with presents. I accidentally gave Christie the wrong swimsuit once, and she played like she’d never seen a volleyball before. There’s also a casino, photo mode (because of course), and random mini-games to kill time when no one wants to play with you.
It’s definitely not deep, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about slowly filling your photo album with awkwardly posed shots of Kasumi while pretending the gambling isn’t rigged. Just don’t expect anything more than a very pretty time-waster.
