Play Death Trap Online
You dodge homing fireballs while trying to torpedo IT's shields—your ship locks up when aiming shots, so timing is everything. That last generator stays hidden until you're desperate enough to find it.

Game Overview
Death Trap on the Atari 2600 is one of those games that starts simple and then absolutely wrecks you. You're just trying to deliver a message, but this massive ship called IT really doesn’t want that to happen. Your only way out? Blow up its three power generators—but the last one stays hidden until you take out the first two.
IT’s got shields everywhere—three above you (A, B, C) and one below (D). Touch any of them, and boom, game over. And those fireballs? They home in on you, so dodging becomes a frantic dance. If you’re lucky, your repair crew can patch you up between hits—unless you picked Hard mode, where you’re on your own.
Firing torpedoes feels weird at first—you hold the button to steer them, but your ship freezes while you do. The shields get trickier too, with invulnerable sections sliding across as you damage IT. Wait too long, and shield C drops, squeezing you into a tighter space while your score ticks down.
Once you finally reveal the center generator, it’s a race against time—shield D starts rising with every hit. Lose all six ships, and that’s it. The difficulty settings actually matter here: Easy gives you breathing room, Hard is brutal, and Normal is… well, normal.
Scoring’s a mix of survival points and damage bonuses, but honestly, just destroying a generator feels like victory enough. This game doesn’t mess around.
