Game Overview

Deathtrack came out in 1989 from A.N.A. Programming, one of those MS-DOS games that felt right at home in an era of chunky pixels and keyboard controls. It was a car combat racer, a genre that was still finding its feet, and it had a grim, post-apocalyptic look that set it apart from brighter arcade competitors.

You pilot an armed vehicle through a series of deadly circuits, aiming to win races and earn enough cash to upgrade your car's weapons, armor, and engine. The core loop involves managing your limited funds between events, choosing which systems to improve before heading back into the fray. The racing itself is unforgiving; opponents are aggressive, tracks are narrow and filled with hazards, and a single bad crash can end your run. It feels tense and scrappy, a constant fight for survival where every credit matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
