Play Defend the Alamo Online
You've got six tired guys and a crumbling fort—every bullet counts, every decision hurts, and losing fast is part of the charm. Miss a shot or misplace a barricade, and suddenly it's just you and a knife against a dozen rifles.

Defend the Alamo was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't carry a specific release number in that series. The game was developed by MECC, known for educational and historical titles, and it places you right in the middle of the 1836 siege. It's a straightforward, no frills strategy experience from the era when games asked more from your patience than your graphics card.
You command a small group of defenders, assigning each to positions along the Alamo's walls, managing their limited ammunition, and making desperate repairs to damaged barricades between waves. The primary goal is to hold out as long as possible against an overwhelming Mexican army. Key mechanics include directing your men's fire, prioritizing which breaches to fix, and watching your supplies dwindle with every skirmish. The pacing is relentless; the difficulty is unforgiving, and a single mistake can cascade into a quick defeat. It feels like a tense, losing battle where every minor success is a small victory against the inevitable.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
