You wake up in a pitch-black hospital where the walls bleed and the lights flicker—then you hear something dragging itself toward you down the hall, and all you’ve got is a half-empty revolver. The DS shouldn’t be this scary.
You start Dementium: The Ward strapped to a gurney, watching flickering hospital lights pass overhead while something… not right happens around you. Then you wake up alone in a ruined room, and yeah—this place is messed up. Blood smears the walls, the lights buzz like they’re about to die, and those groaning sounds? Definitely not patients.
It’s a first-person horror shooter on the DS, which already feels weirdly intense for the little handheld. You’ll scavenge pistols, shotguns, whatever you can find, but ammo’s tight—so you end up creeping through hallways, listening for shuffling footsteps, praying you don’t round a corner into something with too many teeth. The whole hospital shifts around you, too, like it’s alive and messing with you on purpose. Not gonna lie, the low-res darkness somehow makes it creepier.
If you ever played old-school Silent Hill or Resident Evil and wished you could cram that dread into your DS, this is the closest you’ll get. Just maybe don’t play it right before bed.
