Play Dig Dug - Digging Strike (J) Online
Pump enemies till they pop or crush them by collapsing tunnels—now with a puzzle twist. The DS screens split the action, so you’re digging below while dodging monsters up top.

Dig Dug: Digging Strike came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed and published by Namco. It was part of that early wave of DS games that tried to make interesting use of the dual screens, reimagining a classic arcade property for a new kind of handheld. It felt like a natural, if somewhat experimental, fit for the system at the time.
You control Dig Dug, navigating a series of single-screen puzzle stages. Your main goal is to defeat all the enemies, Pookas and Fygars, by either inflating them with your pump until they burst or by strategically collapsing tunnel sections on top of them. The core twist is the dual-screen setup; you dig through the soil on the bottom screen to create paths, while the top screen displays a zoomed-out map of the entire stage, showing enemy positions and your progress. This split forces you to constantly plan your route and anticipate monster movements, making the pacing more deliberate and thoughtful than the frantic arcade original. It feels like a tense game of subterranean chess where one wrong move can trap you with your own tunnels.
