Diggers came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Millennium Interactive. It was one of those games that felt right at home in the era of shareware and floppy disks, a time when quirky concepts and simple graphics could still deliver a solid afternoon of entertainment.
You control a team of alien miners, each with unique digging abilities, and your goal is to collect gems and gold while racing against rival teams. The gameplay involves directing your diggers through the earth, avoiding hazards like lava and monsters, and managing your resources to upgrade your base. The pace is frantic, especially when rivals are closing in on a valuable vein, and the difficulty comes from balancing greed with caution. It feels like a chaotic, lighthearted scramble where every decision matters right up to the last second.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
