Play Dino City (Europe) Online
Ride dinosaurs, switch between them, and navigate levels to rescue friends from cavemen and other dinosaurs in this quirky 1992 platformer.
Dino City came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by Irem. It was one of those quirky platformers that didn't get a lot of attention at the time, but it had a strange charm that stuck with some players. The game stood out because of its unusual setting and mechanics, even among the SNES library's many action titles.
You control a boy named Timmy, who rides and switches between several dinosaurs to navigate levels and defeat enemies. Each dino has a unique ability: the raptor runs fast and attacks with a tail whip, the T-Rex smashes through certain walls and obstacles, and the pterodactyl lets you fly over gaps and hazards. The goal is to rescue Timmy's friends from cavemen and dinosaurs across a series of side scrolling stages. The game can be challenging, with precise platforming and enemy patterns that require quick dino swaps. It feels inventive and a little rough, but there's a real satisfaction in mastering each creature's movement and attacks.
