Dirt Trax FX came out in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Sculptured Software and published by Nintendo. It was one of the early attempts to bring 3D racing to the SNES, using the FX chip to push the system's graphical limits, though it arrived late in the console's life when players were already looking toward newer hardware.
You control a dirt bike rider across several off-road tracks, competing in races to finish first. The game uses a behind-the-bike perspective, with polygonal graphics that were novel for the time but often choppy. You navigate jumps, sharp turns, and obstacles like rocks and other riders; the physics are loose, making landings tricky and collisions frequent.
