Donkey Kong (JU) [T-Norwegian_Just4fun] is one of those NES classics that feels simple at first but gets brutal fast. You're just Jumpman—later Mario—climbing ladders, dodging barrels, and trying to rescue Pauline from the big ape. The first level seems manageable, but then the fireballs start moving faster, the barrels take weird bounces, and suddenly you're out of lives.

What stands out is how much personality it has for an early platformer. Donkey Kong scowls at you from the top of the screen, Pauline waves for help, and those little cutscenes between levels make it feel like an actual story. The hammer power-up is a lifesaver when you grab it, smashing everything in your path for a few precious seconds.

Some versions cut levels, but this one keeps all four—construction site, cement factory, elevators, and the final rivet stage. That last level is where things get tense, removing rivets one by one while dodging everything DK throws at you.
