The goal is to navigate through themed worlds, each made up of side scrolling levels full of enemies, secrets, and collectibles like coins and Kremkoins. You explore screen by screen, looking for hidden bonus rooms and trying to find every DK coin. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty ramps up steadily, especially in later stages with precise platforming. It feels responsive and rewarding when you pull off a tricky jump or discover a well hidden item.
