Donkey Kong 3 came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1983, developed and published by Nintendo. You control Stanley the Bugman, an exterminator armed with a spray gun. Your goal is to protect the flowers at the bottom of the screen from a swarm of bees, all while fending off Donkey Kong himself, who climbs down vines from the top to menace you. The core mechanics involve spraying upward to eliminate insects and also to push Donkey Kong back toward the ceiling; if he gets too low, he'll steal your flowers. The pacing is relentless, with bees diving from all angles and Kong constantly advancing, making it a test of quick reflexes and positioning. It feels like a tense, vertical shootout where one slip can cost you everything.
