Game Overview
Donkey Kong Land III for the Game Boy is basically Dixie Kong’s revenge tour. DK and Diddy ditched her to go hunt for some mythical Lost World, leaving her stuck babysitting her little cousin Kiddy. So naturally, she drags him along to find it first—because why not?
Dixie’s still got her hair-glide move (which is way more useful than it sounds), and Kiddy’s… well, he’s strong, I guess. He does this weird somersault jump that somehow gets you just a little extra distance when you’re about to miss a platform. The animal buddies are back too—Ellie the Elephant blasts water like a tiny firehose, and Squitter the Spider shoots webs that turn into makeshift platforms. Some of them feel borderline unfair, but in a good way.
The real challenge? Those sneaky DK Coins and Bonus Coins hidden in every level. You can technically finish without them, but good luck unlocking the Lost World if you skip the hunt. And once you’re done, there’s Time Attack mode—perfect if you enjoy replaying levels while muttering "just one more try" under your breath.
It’s classic Donkey Kong Country action, just crammed into a Game Boy cartridge.
