Dracula: Crazy Vampire came out in 2001 for the Game Boy Color, developed by Planet Interactive. It was one of those late-era GBC releases that tried to squeeze a bit more life out of the hardware before the Advance took over. The game has a lighthearted, almost cartoonish take on the Dracula mythos, which was a nice change from the usual gothic tone.
You control Dracula himself, moving screen by screen through themed levels like haunted castles and misty forests. Your main goal is to stop the villain Torquemada, but along the way you recruit monster allies, use bat transformations to reach new areas, and fight enemies with simple melee attacks. The pacing is brisk, though some sections can feel repetitive, and the difficulty is manageable but not trivial. It feels like a compact, slightly quirky adventure that doesn’t overstay its welcome.
