Play DragonBall Z - Supersonic Warriors (E)(Rising Sun) Online

Pick your fighter, then zip around the screen trading ki blasts and last-second transformations—this GBA brawler actually moves like the anime. Those wild "what if" fights (Gohan vs. Frieza? Sure!) make the grind for new moves worth it.

Game Overview

DragonBall Z: Supersonic Warriors on GBA is one of those rare licensed games that actually gets it right. You start off picking from a solid roster—Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, even weird picks like Videl—and immediately notice how fast the fights feel compared to other handheld DBZ games. No sluggish punches here, just chaotic mid-air beam struggles that actually capture the anime’s energy.

The story mode follows the usual Saiyan-to-Buu saga beats, but the real fun is the "what if?" scenarios. What if Gohan went full rage mode against Frieza? What if Trunks teamed up with Cell? They’re ridiculous in the best way. Each character has three power levels (base form, Super Saiyan, etc.), and pulling off a last-second transformation to turn the tide never gets old.

There’s a shop where you unlock extra characters and harder modes, though it’s a bummer some fan favorites like SSJ3 Goku didn’t make the cut. Still, for a GBA fighter, it holds up way better than it has any right to. The sequel on DS is good too, but this one’s got that nostalgic charm.
