DuckTales 2 for the Game Boy came out in 1993, developed by Capcom. It was part of that wave of Disney licensed games on Nintendo's handheld, a time when portable adventures were often scaled down but still packed with character. You play as Scrooge McDuck, hopping and pogoing your way through stages to recover pieces of a treasure map.
You control Scrooge, using his cane to bounce on enemies and uncover hidden items. The goal is to explore levels screen by screen, finding map fragments that eventually lead to the final treasure vault. You'll do a fair amount of backtracking once new abilities are found, and the difficulty can spike in later stages with tricky platforming and enemy placements. It feels brisk and focused, a compact quest that rewards careful exploration.
