Play Dungeon Keeper Online

Dig tunnels, slap lazy imps, and lure monsters into your dungeon—then watch heroes scream when they stumble into your traps. That deep voice warning of attacks still gives me chills.

Game Overview

Dungeon Keeper came out in 1997 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, published by Electronic Arts. It was a different kind of strategy game for its time, letting you play as the villain instead of the hero. You built and managed an underground lair, a dark mirror to the typical fantasy adventure.

You control the unseen hand of evil, directing imps to dig out rooms, claim territory, and set traps for invading heroes. Your main goal is to defend your dungeon heart while expanding your influence and crushing rival keepers. Key mechanics include possessing your creatures to see through their eyes, slapping imps to make them work faster, and researching spells to gain new abilities. The pacing is deliberate, with moments of tension when heroes breach your defenses. It feels deeply satisfying to outsmart do-gooders with clever layouts and ambushes.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
