Play Electranoid Online
Control a paddle, bounce a ball, smash bricks, and tackle chaotic levels with wild power-ups in Electranoid on MS-DOS.
Electranoid was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't carry a specific release number. It was developed by a smaller team, and it fits right into that era of experimental, often shareware, titles that pushed the simple mechanics of block-breaking games into new, sometimes bizarre, directions.
You control a small paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting a single ball to smash all the bricks above. The main objective is clearing each level, but the game constantly disrupts expectations with bricks that drift out of formation, screen-warping effects that bend the ball's trajectory, and power-ups that can split your ball into multiple projectiles or drastically alter your paddle's size. The pacing is relentless, with synth-heavy music driving the action forward, and the difficulty spikes sharply as new stage gimmicks are introduced. It feels like trying to solve a chaotic puzzle while the board itself is actively working against you.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
