Game Overview

Electroplankton is one of those weird little DS games that feels more like an interactive art piece than anything else. You poke, tap, and swirl these tiny animated plankton creatures on the touchscreen, and each one reacts by making these dreamy electronic sounds—some chirp like retro synths, others hum in looping patterns. No scores, no levels, just you messing around with these little guys to see what noises they’ll make.

My favorite is the "Tracy" plankton—you draw squiggly lines and they turn into these glowing trails that play melodies as they float by. It’s oddly hypnotic, especially with headphones. Not really a "game" in the usual sense, but perfect when you just want to zone out and make something pretty. The whole thing feels like playing with a digital music box.

Definitely not for everyone, but if you’ve ever tapped your fingers on a desk just to hear the rhythm, you’ll probably dig this.
