Epic_Disk1 came out for the Amiga in 1992, developed by Ocean Software and Imagineer. You take control of a starship commander, overseeing a small fleet through nine levels of deep space combat and planetary incursions. Your main goal is to push back the Rexxon alien threat across a series of linked missions. Gameplay shifts between directing your ships in tactical overhead combat and taking personal control during ground assaults or boarding actions. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes unforgiving, as you manage resources and pick your engagements carefully. It feels like a thoughtful, layered challenge where every decision carries weight.
