Epic_Disk1 is one of those Amiga games that blew me away as a kid—mostly because of how ridiculously good it looked. You're leading humanity's last fleet after our sun decides to explode (rude), dodging these angry alien Rexxons while hunting for a new planet. Half the time you're in classic top-down space shooter mode, the other half you're landing on weird planets for ground missions that feel almost like a different game.
The real star here is the presentation. The cutscenes use Holst's Planets suite, which somehow makes your tiny pixelated fleet feel like an epic space opera. Just don't expect a marathon—it's only nine levels, and you'll blast through them faster than the Rexxons can say "get off our space lawn." Still, for a 90s Amiga title, it's a gorgeous little time capsule.
